Summary
- We collect anonymous analytics about how the app is used, so we can find bugs and see which features get played.
- We do not collect your name, email, phone, address, contacts, photos, files, or messages.
- We do not collect precise or GPS location. Google's analytics service does derive an approximate, city-level location from your IP address — see "What we collect".
- We do not sell your data.
- We do not show ads.
- We do not charge real money for anything in the app.
- Gameplay works offline. Your save stays on your device and is never uploaded; analytics events are sent when you have a connection.
What we collect
The app uses Google Firebase Analytics to log anonymous events about gameplay. Nothing you type is collected — only events the app logs itself. Examples:
- Which hero you picked
- Which stage you reached
- How long a run lasted
- Whether you won or died
- How many enemies you defeated
Firebase also automatically collects standard technical data:
- Your device model (e.g. Pixel 7, iPhone 14)
- Your Android or iOS version
- App version and language
- An approximate, city-level location that Google derives from your masked IP address — never street-level or GPS
- A random Firebase installation ID (unique to your install, not to you)
- On Android, your advertising ID only if you have not disabled ad personalization in your device's system settings. On iOS the app never shows a tracking-permission prompt, so no advertising identifier is available to it.
What we do not collect
- Names, email addresses, phone numbers, physical addresses
- Precise or GPS location
- Contacts, photos, videos, files, calendar entries
- Messages of any kind (the app has no chat, forums, or user-to-user interaction)
- Financial information (no in-app purchases, no ads, no payments)
- Health or fitness data
- Web browsing history
How we use it
Aggregate analytics tells us things like "40% of players die in the Forest stage, 60% never unlock the Rogue" — used to balance the game and prioritize fixes. Individual event data is never inspected; we only look at population trends.
Who we share it with
We use Google Firebase (a Google Cloud service) to receive and process the analytics events. Google acts as our data processor, not as an independent controller. Firebase's own privacy policy is at policies.google.com/privacy.
We do not share your data with any other third party. We do not sell it, rent it, or use it for advertising outside the app.
Data storage
- Analytics events are sent to Google's servers over HTTPS (encrypted in transit) and retained by Firebase according to their default retention policy (currently 14 months).
- Your save file — heroes, unlocks, crystals, progress — is stored on your device only, in the app's local storage. It never leaves the device.
Your controls
- Stop future collection: uninstall the app.
- Opt out of the Android advertising ID: Settings → Google → Ads → Delete advertising ID (Android 12+) or Reset advertising ID.
- Deletion: the app never sets a user ID, so events are not linked to you and there is no account for us to look up. Uninstalling stops collection, and past events age out under Firebase's retention window. For any question, email ioniuncu@gmail.com.
Children
The app is intended for a general audience. It is not directed specifically at children under 13 and does not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child under 13 has provided personal information, contact ioniuncu@gmail.com.
Changes to this policy
If we materially change how we collect or use data, we will update this page and bump the "Last updated" date at the top. Continued use of the app after a change means you accept the updated policy.
